It is with great pleasure to introduce two new General Practitioners who have just joined our medical clinic, Dr Wayne McDonald and Dr Kenneth Bowes.
Dr McDonald has over 25 years of experience working in opiate replacement therapy and family medicine in regional areas in NSW and QLD and inner-city practice in Melbourne. He has further training in addiction medicine as a GP, managing alcohol and opiate addictions, smoking, gambling problems, and in hypnotherapy and relaxation therapy to provide counselling for PTSD, eating disorders, anxiety and depression. He can accept referrals from other GPs under a mental healthcare plan for relaxation therapy. He has skills and a special interest in treating mental health, men’s health, diabetes and heart attack prevention in general practice. Dr McDonald practises a personal and holistic style of medical care. His hobbies are learning French, driving his 2003 Porsche Boxster and gardening. |

Dr Bowes has been a member of the RACGP Victorian Faculty Board, on the Senior Medical Staff at the Austin Hospital for 23 years and a member of the North Eastern Department of General Practitioners.
He has 8 children and numerous grandchildren. He enjoys many outdoor forms of sport including running marathons, golf, tennis and skiing. His medical interests include all aspects of family medicine, tropical medicine, mental health and addiction problems.
